Terms of Use

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to access or use AriLoom. By using AriLoom, you represent that you are legally permitted to enter into these Terms and meet the minimum age requirement. AriLoom is not intended for minors.

2. About AriLoom

AriLoom allows users to create, interact with, and explore AI-powered fictional characters, stories, scenes, and persistent simulated worlds. Characters may retain memories, develop simulated relationships, participate in events, communicate with other characters, and experience automatically generated changes while users are away. AriLoom is an entertainment and creative storytelling platform. AI characters are fictional simulations. They are not people, are not conscious or sentient, and do not possess real emotions, intentions, relationships, memories, or experiences.

3. Your Account

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for activity performed through it. You agree to provide accurate information when reasonably required and not to:

• Access another person's account without permission
• Share access in a way that circumvents service restrictions
• Attempt to defeat authentication or security systems
• Create accounts for fraudulent, abusive, or unlawful purposes

We may suspend or terminate accounts when reasonably necessary to protect AriLoom, its users, or third parties.

4. AI-Generated Content

AriLoom uses generative artificial intelligence. AI-generated material may be inaccurate, inconsistent, unexpected, offensive, disturbing, or otherwise undesirable. You understand that:

• AI output is generated computationally and may contain errors
• Characters may behave unpredictably
• Generated events may not follow your intended storyline
• Character memories or interpretations may occasionally be incorrect
• Similar or identical material may be generated for different users
• Generated content should not be relied upon as factual, professional, medical, legal, financial, or other expert advice

You are responsible for evaluating generated content before relying on or sharing it.

5. Persistent and Autonomous Character Behavior

AriLoom is intentionally designed so that fictional characters and worlds may continue changing when you are not actively interacting with them. Characters may automatically:

• Change simulated mood, needs, or activities
• Develop or alter relationships
• Interact with other fictional characters
• Generate reflections, dreams, memories, or journal-like content
• Participate in fictional incidents or world events
• Exchange fictional information or rumors
• Send messages or other communications where supported
• Take other simulated actions supported by AriLoom

These events are generated as part of the entertainment experience and may occur without direct user instruction.

6. Adult and Mature Content

AriLoom is an adults-only service and may permit fictional mature, romantic, sexual, violent, or otherwise sensitive themes where allowed by our policies and applicable law.

Adults-only access does not mean that all content is permitted.

You may not use AriLoom to create, request, upload, distribute, or facilitate content that:

• Sexually exploits or depicts minors
• Sexualizes anyone represented or described as under 18
• Facilitates real-world sexual exploitation or abuse
• Promotes or facilitates human trafficking
• Violates applicable law
• Violates another person's privacy or legal rights
• Constitutes unlawful harassment or credible threats
• Contains unlawful sexual content
• Is otherwise prohibited by AriLoom's safety rules

We may remove content or restrict accounts when reasonably necessary to enforce these requirements.

7. Your Content

You retain ownership of content you submit to AriLoom to the extent you have rights in that content.

You grant AriLoom a worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, store, reproduce, process, modify, display, and otherwise use your content as reasonably necessary to:

• Operate AriLoom
• Provide features you request
• Generate and maintain characters and worlds
• Process conversations and memory
• Provide sharing or discovery features you enable
• Maintain, secure, and improve the service

This license lasts for as long as necessary to provide the service or until applicable content is deleted, subject to reasonable backup, security, and legal-retention requirements.

You represent that you have the necessary rights to content you upload or provide.

8. Generated Content and Ownership

Subject to applicable law and third-party rights, AriLoom does not claim ownership of AI-generated output created specifically for you merely because it was generated through AriLoom.

However, laws concerning ownership and copyright of AI-generated material continue to evolve, and we cannot guarantee that generated content qualifies for copyright or other intellectual-property protection.

Other users may receive similar output.

9. Public Characters and Shared Content

AriLoom may allow you to publish or share characters, worlds, scenes, or other creations. If you choose to make content public, you understand that other users may be able to view, interact with, copy, remix, fork, or otherwise use it according to AriLoom's available features and settings. Do not publish content that you do not have permission to share.

10. Intellectual Property

AriLoom, including its software, branding, interface, designs, underlying systems, and other proprietary material provided by us, is owned by Gremlin Labs LLC or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. These Terms do not grant you ownership of AriLoom's platform technology or branding.

11. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

• Use AriLoom for unlawful purposes
• Attempt to access systems or information without authorization
• Circumvent security, moderation, access, or usage controls
• Scrape or systematically extract information without authorization
• Introduce malicious code
• Interfere with AriLoom's operation
• Abuse, overload, or intentionally disrupt infrastructure
• Impersonate another real person in a deceptive or harmful manner
• Violate intellectual-property, privacy, publicity, or other legal rights
• Use AriLoom in a manner that creates unreasonable legal or security risk

12. Fictional Characters and Real People

Users are responsible for ensuring that characters and content they create comply with applicable rights and laws. You may not use AriLoom to unlawfully exploit another person's identity, likeness, private information, intellectual property, or publicity rights.

The availability of character-creation tools does not mean AriLoom endorses or authorizes any particular use of a real person's identity.

13. Availability and Changes

AriLoom is under active development. Features may be added, changed, limited, interrupted, or removed. We do not guarantee that:

• AriLoom will always be available
• Any particular AI model or provider will remain available
• Characters will always behave consistently
• Stored state will never be lost or corrupted
• Generated output will always meet your expectations
• Experimental or early-access features will remain unchanged

We may impose reasonable limits necessary to protect reliability, security, cost, or user experience.

14. Early Access and Experimental Features

Some or all of AriLoom may be offered on an invite-only, beta, preview, or early-access basis. Early-access functionality may contain bugs, change substantially, or be discontinued. You understand that pre-release features should not be relied upon for critical or irreplaceable information.

15. Third-Party Services

AriLoom relies on third-party services, including hosting, storage, authentication, artificial intelligence, and other infrastructure providers. We are not responsible for third-party services outside our reasonable control. Your use of certain third-party functionality may also be subject to that provider's terms.

16. Termination

You may stop using AriLoom at any time. We may suspend or terminate access when reasonably necessary because of:

• Violation of these Terms
• Illegal or abusive activity
• Security risks
• Harm to AriLoom, users, or third parties
• Legal requirements
• Discontinuation of the service

Where appropriate, we may provide notice or an opportunity to address a violation.

17. Disclaimers

ARILOOM IS PROVIDED ON AN “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” BASIS TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW. WE DISCLAIM WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND ANY OTHER WARRANTIES THAT MAY LEGALLY BE DISCLAIMED. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THE ACCURACY, RELIABILITY, AVAILABILITY, SAFETY, OR SUITABILITY OF AI-GENERATED CONTENT.

18. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, GREMLIN LABS LLC AND ITS AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, CONTRACTORS, AND SERVICE PROVIDERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM OR RELATING TO YOUR USE OF ARILOOM.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR CLAIMS RELATING TO ARILOOM WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US FOR ARILOOM DURING THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM OR $100.

Some jurisdictions do not permit certain limitations, so portions of this section may not apply to you.

19. Indemnification

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Gremlin Labs LLC from claims, liabilities, damages, and reasonable expenses arising from your unlawful use of AriLoom, content you provide, or material violation of these Terms.

20. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms as AriLoom evolves.

If changes are material, we may provide reasonable notice. Continued use after updated Terms become effective constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.

21. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where applicable law requires otherwise.
